Tuscania is an ancient town rich of history, the surrounding countryside has one of the richest collections of Etruscan necropolis.
The necropolis "Peschiera" stands out with a tomb known as "del dado (in english dice)" because is a rectangular block, the necropolis of "Pian di Mola" consists of a number of tombs with portico, the necropolis located in "Madonna dell'Olivo", to which belongs the famous "Grotta della Regina" (the Grotto of the Queen).
The Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Maggiore hosts the National Archeological Museum of Tuscania and preserves remarcable testimonies from the Etruscan and Roman tombs found in the tuscanian necropolis.
The church of San Pietro and The Basilica of S.Maria Maggiore  are tipical monuments of the landscape of Tuscania.
Worth a visit the Fontana delle Sette Cannelle a Medieval fountain, the Tower of Lavello and the park of Lavello which lies above the city walls of Tuscania, overlooking the countryside below, the roman chuches and the palazzo del Rivellino.
